It was no secret that Felix was a bit of an asshole. He didn't let it affect him on most occasions. He was proud of who he was and who he had gotten the chance to be in his years at school. He was a prefect and at the top of his class and he worked his ass off in order to ensure his success. He was going to become a great and successful man, simply because of his intelligence and dedication. Felix was aware of this fact. It wasn't a shock and it was common knowledge to those around him.
Women were now, however, getting to the forefront of his mind. It wasn't enough to distract him, and there weren't a lot of women in the school that were as neat as he was. He wasn't looking for a long-term relationship, that much was certain. Relationships were the most messy things in the world, love was even worse on the scale. Dirty and filthy and corrupting. If Felix were to find love, it would be a miracle. He liked being able to stay clean and a complicated, long-term relationship could distract him from his success.
No, one-night stands and flings were simply the way to go. He didn't need to impress anyone, he just needed to get his urges out. It was that simple. He could sleep with someone without worrying about the repercussions, simply having a good, clean time and then returning to his work, leaving the girl to fend for herself. That was that.
Felix beamed to himself as he entered the Room of Requirement, arms full of his school work. The Room was the perfect place to get ahead in school. It was his little safe haven. He settled at the large desk in the front of the room, neatly spreading out his books before settling down, quill in hand, to begin his work.

Felicity was in a pretty fantastic mood if she did say so herself, not even the vicious rain and bone-chilling winds could dampen her spirits. She felt the need to do something bold and out there, have a little fun. Felicity figured it might be the mania talking, but she honestly didn't care- how could she when she felt so good? She wanted to dance all night, get drunk, or maybe even hook up with someone whilst intoxicated. They were high ambitions for a school night, and with security on the grounds being so tight she knew she couldn't just up and leave when she felt like it anymore.
So she had gone to the Room of Requirement. It might not be able to fulfill her want of booze or someone to sloppily make out with, but at the very least she could have some loud music. Felicity could feel her mania bubbling inside of her- the last time she'd been in this state it had been summer, and she'd simply up and left home for an entire week. She had taken a train from Manchester all the way to Aberdeen, and she had connected with a group of young, pot-smoking wizards in a hostel who had convinced her to travel with them a while.
It had been a lot of fun, simply wandering wherever their feet took them. Of course, Felicity had gotten hell from her parents when she got home. Felix would never do something that stupid, they had said, why can't you be more like him? Felicity crinkled her nose at the memory- while she did care for her twin brother deeply, she didn't want to be like him, so uptight all the time, it was like he never had any fun. Speaking of the devil, Felicity found herself staring at the back of his head as she entered the room, twirling her vibrantly blue tresses around her finger. "Christ Felix, coming here to study? Don't you ever have any fun?" said Felicity, announcing her presence before plopping down onto the neon orange, over-sized beanbag chair the room had conjured for her- grinning and waiting for her brother to turn around.

Felix was ever so concerned and focused on his work. He quickly flew through his Charms homework, setting it neatly to the right side of the desk before closing his book and setting that just above his homework on the desk. He reached towards his books, grabbing the Transfiguration book and opening it, only after having squared it on the desk. He grabbed some more parchment, laying it to one side, then began to work. It was extremely relaxing, getting his homework done it such a wonderfully quiet place...
"Christ Felix, coming here to study? Don't you ever have any fun?"
Felix's head shot up, and he shifted his body to look towards the source of the voice. He scowled as Felicity plopped down into an obnoxiously large, obnoxiously orange beanbag that the Room had conjured up, specifically for her. He winced at the object. It was ruining his perfect vision of this perfect room. Couldn't the Room have given her a large, plush, velvet-armchair? At least it would have matched the rest of the decor. Now it was going to bother him to no end, and he wouldn't be able to focus on his homework.
It wasn't that he hated Felicity, but they were so different. He loved his twin, she was his other half, in a quite literal sense. The fun-loving, wild-child side of him that should have existed in him was embodied by Felicity, just as Felix was everything that she was not. And, with the two of them both being diagnosed with personality disorders that drastically enhanced their traits, they were two halves of the same crazy, fucked-up whole.
"Felicity, come on... if you're going to stay, at least change that awful beanbag chair into something a bit more practical... please?" he pleaded, eyes never leaving that blasted bag. It was incredibly distracting, the least his twin could do was will something else into the room for him.

Felicity beamed, she felt extraordinarily bubbly today, as if nothing could ever spoil her mood. Not even Felix who was so uptight and grumpy all the time. Though she had to admit that she liked their contrast, it definitely made things interesting to say the least. Particularly when she was manic- she would border on hyper all day. It had been most difficult to focus during class that day. Granted, she didn't have many classes to focus in anymore, she only had four. Charms, Transfiguration, Divination, and Music. They were the only ones she had scored highly enough on in her OWL to be able to continue.
Felicity didn't know what she might be able to do as far as a career with such a limited range of subjects, but she figured she would cross that bridge when she came to it. And at any rate, it made for a very low-stress school schedule. Music and divination, and sometimes even charms, had a reputation for being "fluff" subjects, fairly easy without much homework, so the brunt of her work came from Transfiguration. Even then, Felicity wasn't stressing about it. As far as she was concerned, life was treating her quite well indeed. She didn't even understand why her brother was studying so hard at the moment.
Felicity gave forth an over-dramatized frown at his request, she liked the chair. She ran her hand over the soft, yet vaguely nylon-esque fabric before closing her eyes and willing the room to change it to something for aesthetically pleasing. Felicity gave a genuine frown as her comfy beanbag shifted into a rigid, straight-backed armchair. The bright orange giving way to a rich burgundy that went with the rest of the room. Not content, she adjusted her position, putting her legs against the back of the chair, her back on the seat with her head hanging over the edge, looking upside down at her twin. Unable to keep with the frowning, because she was simply far too happy, she beamed like the Cheshire Cat. "Is that better?" asked Felicity, reaching into the pocket of her robe for a square of bubblegum.

Felix couldn't stand it. He just couldn't. It wasn't fair, the fact that Felicity was here. Yes, he loved his twin. He couldn't stress it enough, but it was just so impossible. It was something he didn't think he could cope with, and yet, here they were. His gaze never left that goddamn bean bag chair. It really was throwing off everything, and he could feel his blood pressure rising from the stress the ghastly thing was causing him. He anxiously watched it, knowing full-well the room wouldn't listen to his pleas with Felicity having been the one to summon the chair. Finally, it changed into the beautiful, matching chair, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Is that better?"
Felix looked up to see his twin hanging over the edge of the chair, beaming at him as that ridiculously blue hair cascaded around her face. "Yes, much. Thank you," he said, smiling gently at Felicity before turning back to his work. He took his precious time on the notes, making sure ever curve, slash, and dot of his calligraphic writing was absolutely flawless. He was counting on perfection in order to study and pass his classes.
Felix knew it was silly. He knew that he was going to pass them regardless, that this incessant need for perfection was foolish. But, he couldn't help it. He was the typical OCD subject in all regards. Still, he needed everything to be flawless. If they weren't, terrible things would happen. There simply wasn't any way that he could fix himself. Frankly, he didn't really want to. Medication seemed foolish and therapy simply hadn't worked for him. There wasn't any other alternative.
Contrary to what others would like to believe, Felix liked himself. He was extremely prideful of who he was. His perfectionist ways made him a great prefect, a great student, and a total stud. He could sleep around without the messiness of a relationship, and no one seemed to mind. Life was going well for Felix, and nothing, not even his incredibly manic twin, would ruin it.

Felicity sighed again, she had to wonder how Felix ever had fun of any sort, he was so rigid, so uptight... Of course, she wasn't always so bubbly, when she got to be depressive things got bad, really bad. Felicity hated it when the pendulum of her bipolar swung in the other direction from where it was currently, those were the days where all she wanted to do was stay in bed, curled up in a ball with the covers over her head. The days where she was almost disgusted with her bright blue hair which she normally adored, where even the most subtle of things could bring her to tears...
But times like now, nothing could bring her down, even with the lack of fun in the room's decor. Honestly, her brother had the taste of an old man, he'd probably be the kind who, in his twenties, would spend the evenings with an aged whiskey or a high-quality brandy with his robe and slippers with a book beside the fire. So boring he was, when was the last time he had done anything reckless? Had he ever acted on impulse? Not that Felicity could remember. She returned his smile, Felicity might not share his tastes, but he did seem a lot more relaxed now that her neon orange beanbag had taken a new form.
A silence settled over them as Felix returned to his work, which she found ridiculous, he was going to end up going grey before he was done with school if he didn't take it easy once in a while. Perhaps in the upcoming summer she could forcibly drag him along on some of her antics. It didn't seem likely, but she would at least have to try. Not content to stay in silence, she decided to speak up. "Methinks I detected some hostility from Mum and Dad over the holiday, you don't think they're still sore about last summer, do you?" asked Felicity, she honestly did want her brother's opinion. She had come home, it had been a week without any contact, but she had come back.
